I'm trying to do research for something I'm writing, and it's taken me to the issue of army doctors. I'd like to know: in general, what is the quality of the medical care that's received in army bases? What kind of training have the doctors had? Did they study on Army time? Army money? Do their residence on army time? Also, are medics just an army course course, or also people who've gone to school? What's the procedure like to see the doctor? Does it depend on the base? Any old bit of info would do great.
ETA: More importantly, I think, for what I was looking for, is the kind of attention/care you'd get different than a civilian doctor? If so, how?
